Another catch-up post:
I'm not sure if I posted this pic yet...but if not, a major shout out to Amo ('Manda Olson)!!! She sent this little beauty to me:

A cute little family celebrating a nice breakfast on Mother's Day...
at McDonald's...
Wait.
a table cloth??!
BAHAHAHHAHAHAAAAAA!
Love it.

She sure knows how to party.
Oh.
And she LOVES hospitals
(especially when she's the patient)
(especially when she's the patient)
Cliff Notes: One somewhat alarming phone conversation with Celeste, a 6min trip from work to St Rose hospital, a 5hr ER wait (involving dye, awesome people watching and a CT scan), 3 bags of blood (transfusion), and one overnight stay later.... mom was much better.

I've been able to enjoy my fair share of the AWESOME weather (minus the wind) we experienced during this year's May, and sometimes...I think Vegas is just so beautiful
Right??
Both Jess and Spence were able to have their wisdom teeth extracted on the same day!!! Lucky ducks! The appt was at 8am and my cute mom took the day off to take care of them (and herself) and I went along for the ride...
Here are the pics to document that event:
Before we left, I noticed that mom had set things up (in true Nancy-form) so that once the kids were done and home, they could crash on the green couch to commence the healing period...
She had also filled latex gloves with water and froze them and some wet rags for the kids (to reduce/prevent swelling)
I sware!
My mom is the BEST!!!
My mom is the BEST!!!

Kind of out of order, but I did make sure the kids watched Finding Nemo (perfect and TOTALLY appropriate pic) when they got home...

Sooo excited!!!
We took them to Nevada Oral and Facial Surgery (BOMB!!!) and here are their operating Dr's credentials.
Bottom line: he knows a thing or two about a thing or two...
Spence (don't even lie) was really nervous. He'd apparently heard a few horror stories...but the kid only ended up having the two mandibular 3rds! Brat!
Cute! :)
Aaaand after.
If there's a heaven, I'll figure out how to post videos from my phone on here so you all may see the video I shot of her and my car ride home right after this appt. It involves a serious conversation about hating Selena Gomez for dating Justin Bieber (all her), racism, hawaii and a bit of singing....brilliant!

Let the healing begin!
Santa brought me a sewing machine for Christmas. I've started on some pajama pants (4months ago. ...I'll finish 'em. ...someday), but I had to make some adjustments to my new scrub pants, and mom actually made me do it! (as you see here, she was doing the first to demo the process for me, but I had to actually sew! That's what moms are for! Ugh. I hate growing up)
Just as I was finishing up, this guy (sam) came over. He began mocking me/smack talking ("I can do that sooo much better," etc), so I decided he could try/finish the last pant leg.
He didn't do toooooo terribly and was able to finish before mom and jess could find a camera...then made us reenact the scene ...? So the pic you see above is purely an act. Me, happily sitting next to a sewing machine and him, actually sewing (Oscar-worthy, maybe?).
I sure hope that through some sort of miraculous creeping, someone from his family is able to witness this pic. I'm pretty sure they'd agree it's very near priceless.
Myself, Jess and my friend Seriza got to attend an acoustic night, which involved 12 different acts (we each had friends in one or more of the acts), out by Red Rock a few weeks ago (located on some roof top/balcony deal. Very cool spot):
I enjoyed the company of the fire pit/heater-deal for most of the performances, but I thought it was really fun! :)
Cheeeeeeeeeese!^2
Odds and Ends:
Me and mini me went looking for swim covers the other day. We shopped separately, but went into the dressing rooms at the same time to try our stuff on and show off when we had something on we kinda' liked.
Welp. Here's how the most recent "I'm a different person than you, get out of my head" incident went down:
Me (from my dressing room): Oh dang. This one is short
Jess (from her room): Mine is shorter. But it's kinda cute how it ties and makes the waist look smaller
Me: No, mine is definitely shorter.
Jess: Ha! Doubt it.
Me (out in the main area): K, come out, let's see. Look at mine...
Jess (starts opening her dressing room door): OH MY H%*#!!! (slams her door shut)
Me: WHAT?! It's not THAAAT bad! Geesh! (now looking into the mirror self consciously)
Me: WHAT?! It's not THAAAT bad! Geesh! (now looking into the mirror self consciously)
Jess: UGH!
She then opened the door and I understood...

As Celeste put it, "Twins Basil!"
I loved this little article in cosmo!!!
Soooooo true! :D
Well...that's all I got for now...and my next post will most likely occur on the other side of an 8 day trip to Maui!!!
~Later!

yes, I love the long ones, because when I am bored I can go back and have a giggle-fest- as there is usually something that I missed. Good on ya. ps. when I am a mother, I want McDonalds, not to hate on those people. The fries and honey mustard make me life complete.
