Munich to Austrian Tyrol:
First thing we did: Drove 3 hours to Gasgarten and went whitewater rafting! SOOOO FUN! Our rafting guide was hilarious. He was Austrian (naturally) and when he would yell instructions to us on the raft it sounded like a LEGIT S.S. Guard yelling Nazi instructions: "Forward TEAM!" "Get DOWN" etc. Our guide was also insane. He had all of the rafters on the left dive out into the rapids... so that the rafters on the right could "save them" (yank their life vests and lean backwards), and then vice versa. He purposefully drove our raft into a GIANT rock, into the biggest rapids, etc. Terrifying while we were on the raft, but fun and quite the experience, looking back on it... :)
This was after the fact, tying the rafts back up and taking them back to the starting point.
After rafting, we all showered and changed and got back on the bus, heading towards Austria.
We stopped in the small town of Insbrook where we ate and shopped!
That's a real live human. I'm not sure what she's doing... and I didn't know how to pose... so that's the picture that resulted from all of the confusion...
"A shmoke and a pancake? You know... a flapjack and a shigarette? No? Shigar and a waffle? No? Pipe and a crepe? No Bong and a blitz? No? Well, then there is no pleashing you."
Where else would you stop and rest for a bit?
All of those words/letters just to say: Insbrook garden.
Why?
Why make it so difficult?
Mid-evil playground
I stood around, waiting for the Austrian Rafiki to jump out of the tree... but he never did
The first ever character made by Swarovski!
My admission ticket into the Swarovski crystal museum
The entrance to the museum was right behind this water-puking fountain/guy
A Jellyfish.
Bizarre horse.
The largest crystal in the world
The largest crystal wall in the world
Christmas crystal tree! :D
The floor was like the walk way in MJ's Billie Jean
and yeah... I did that.
So... the Swarovski crystal museum was... freaking weird. I have zero appreciation for abstract art. None. In fact, I dislike it. A lot. And as you can see here in my face, I'm thoroughly unimpressed, annoyed and... with flat Spence. :)
Here was our hotel in Tyrol, Austria.
Pretty on the outside...
gross on the inside :\
Austria in one word: Odd.
