Day 11

Florence to Lucerne Switzerland:

Switzerland was gorgeous.

Probably the prettiest scenery out of all of the places we went... therefore I probably took too many pics, sorry.
Deal :)

Side note: I'm going to stop recycling. I fear the trees are taking over. Seriously.

The famous San Gottardo tunnel (don't worry, I had never heard of it either, but it's the longest tunnel in the world, 17km--that or Jason was blowing smoke...again).

WHOA, right?!

There's a very cool/sad story that accompanies this sad lion...
Read about it here if you want:

(Be nice. I'd been on a bus for 6 1/2 hrs.)

I HATED the hotel we stayed in here. It was an old prison, converted into a hotel... and by converted, I mean, they stuck port-o-potty-like toilettes with showers into each jail sell, nailed plywood to the opposite side of the metal bars (for more privacy) and called it a hotel. No joke.

Go here (if you have Quicktime) to see for yourself: http://www.jailhotel.ch/html_e/frame_e.html

This hot chocolate, the scenery, the amazing chocolates and the watch I bought my dad were the highlights of Switzerland for me...

(Seriously awesome hot chocolate)

Unfortunately, sometime during or shortly after this delectable drink I got violently ill. Like...the kind of sick where...the only thing in the world that could make you feel better is your mom and your blanky. Yeah. It wasn't pretty...

I loved Switzerland. It was immaculately clean and so beautiful.

Switzerland in one word: Green
