The Babies

So, the "little" boys decided they wanted to watch Avatar on Saturday afternoon. We have approximately 6 televisions in our house. Only one was being watched. I was in my room, right in the middle of one of my last "final" papers (jealous?) and dad was watching/snoozing to the NBA game out in the tv room...so naturally, the boys decided to watch the movie in my room.

Why this didn't bug me in the least...I'll never know.

To set the scene: They were way cute (and very considerate of my anal-retentiveness regarding the cleanliness of my room...). They got sports-bottles filled with ice and soda (bottles to help prevent major damage from the inevitable spill) and laid out a blanket over my sheets (again, to avoid a spillage-catastrophe). They also had a couple bowls filled with sweets to munch on during the movie....

Now, this movie was a little confusing (especially for a 10 and 13 year old), Matt and Spence would pause it periodically to ask questions, clarify certain points, etc, (again, I was working on a paper...pushed to the floor of my own bedroom, slaving away in less than perfect paper-writing conditions), and I loved it. Those boys are cute. I don't think either of them wanted to really watch that movie...but I was home (which doesn't happen often), I'd seen the movie...so my presence was of at least some use to them (plot clarification, etc)... and any time I left the room, I came back and they were wrestling... so, all of this leads me to believe a couple of things...and I may be totally off, but maybe not: one- Avatar wasn't all that great.... and two- they like being around me and wanted to spend some time with me. :)

Cute, eh? Don't totally crush my naive assumptions here. Just go with it.

At one point during the movie, I looked up from my computer, and saw this:

(that's Spence--the shirtless wonder, in the background grabbing his drink on the other side of the bed, and matty, mesmerized by the pretty Bluray colors...)

Enh. They may bug the heck outta me sometimes...but I think I'll keep em... :)
