I'm OLD

SOOO... I turned 24. I actually like birthdays. I think they're quite an accomplishment. I remember being younger, and Clayt and Celeste and I would play the "Age Game"...it went a little something like this:

Me: Hey, when I'm 20, Jess will be 12... that's SO weird...

Celeste: Well, when I'm 21, Matty will be 5!

Clayt: When I get back from my mission, Bill will be almost 18...holy crap!

.......Dad: When I'm 65, Matt will be graduating High School...so would the three of you shut up?

HA.

Thanks dad. Always there for...perspective.

Anyway, thinking back on that game...I never remember getting past "when I turn 20...______" Now that I'm slowly but surely moving well beyond that benchmark...it's sometimes tough for me to remember that I really am this old...and that maybe I should....grow up.

..............Nahh... :)

This is a great pic of the four of them :)

I'm glad I can stand her now... (see what I mean by the facial expressions/brows?!?)

My mom bought me a new scrub jacket, shipped it to my Grandma, who then added 5 inch cuffs, and shipped it back!!! So much trouble...JUST for me to have a jacket just the way I like it :)
That gift meant a lot to me...
Forever including Elder "B-Tut"

Celeste helping me open the wax to my new Santa-sentsy (sp?) candle :)

OH!! So, at the end of the "gift opening," Mom or Matt jumps up and runs down the hallway, towards the garage, in order to grab the biggest/best gift of the day... (a gift we call "the scooter" - - -a story for a later date)
Mom left to grab my "scooter" and returned with a sealed envelope...
On the front of the envelope..........written in Bill's handwriting... "Beck"
Cue the tears.
I immediately got up and ran to my room, followed by Celeste and Jess (camera in hand), who captured this Kodak moment:

Bill had written me the NICEST card in the world. Very thoughtful, very sincere, very humbling, VERY tear-jerking.

TIME FOR THE SINGIN'....

Me...being the not-so-closet pyro I am...demand the priviledge of lighting my own candles :)

And-ah-one and-ah two and-ah one-two three - - -

"Happy birthday to Beck, Happy birthday toooo Beck..."

And I maintain, our Tuttle version of that song is better than yours. :\ sorry.

Ahhh. And my final gift: A big-ole' hug from the babe.

This was one of my best birthdays yet. For no other reason than...I was so happy. I just really like life, and where I'm at right now. So...yeah. :) I'm up for celebrating that...
