Ketchup

Hiiiii.

I feel like I haven't done this in...forever. Okay, I'll bombard you with some pics of the last 3+ months of my life and add commentary PRN:

Paul break-dancing with his BIGGEST fan.

Made really good food.

Ate reallllllly good food.

decided to try something off of the devil site
(Pinterest)

Not too bad?

Not bad at all! :)

Spence played a little church ball

LIONel-wannabe was at the gym

whoa.

Priesthood Poser #1.
(the resulting pose after saying, "hey matty, you look cute,
pose for the camera")

Priesthood Poser #2.
(I didn't even have to ask him to be this special. It's an all-of-the-time thing with him)

sorry 'bout it....

...kinda

This has GOT to be a good read!

COOOPERRRRRRRRRR
got fancy! :)

Saw some of him and LIKED it.

Yikes.

Going baaaaaaack!!!

Hilarious.

Mom loves these things!
I'll get her one...someday.

A poorly written/"researched" article was published regarding xrays/brain tumors and patients have been treating us (the dental office) as though we're conspiring against them. After one too many complaining crazies called in "concerned" with the news, Dr. TWN had this to say...
and I loved it :)

Bill works

Spence and Matty get sick

Spence stayed sick and had to go to the ER (a couple times) and a neurologist (scan soon).
Poor kid.

I.HAVE.A.PROBLEM.: I went to target for deodorant and...
Walked out with a few more things...

THEN I DID IT AGAIN!!!

Jess has to work a ton of weekends coming up so a few Fridays ago she texted and asked if we could go to Disneyland on her "last free weekend for 14 weeks." (Mind you, it was 2pm on Friday, we both were working --she, until 8pm-- and she wanted to leave THAT NIGHT, and return Sunday.) So...we went. We got to the hotel in Anaheim around 1am Friday night...
She did some of the driving!

Oh, this is a pic of her beautiful highlights (she dyed her
hair for the first time ever! Technically, just got some
"sunkissed" highlights.) Subtle, pretty, ...I like it.

Her grad-announcement pic.
(almost)

Sitting. People watching. Enjoying my Dole soft serve
(longest line we waited in all day....)

....(40min :\ ...but totally worth it! SORRY JESS)

HOW DO YOU DO?

We had breakfast at Goofy's kitchen
(delicious treat type foods- pb&j pizza, "dirt and worms,"
cheese pizza, chicken nuggets, mac and cheese pizza, cookies
candy, ice cream, etc, etc, etc)

The trip was quick, but a ton of fun. Before leaving, we stopped to get bagels and fountain sodas for the trip home but...about 3 minutes into the drive (yes, three.) I got the WORST craving for a cinnamon roll (which is really strange considering...I don't like them). Jess and I were talking non-stop and listening to music, but I couldn't focus on ANYTHING. I had to have a cinnamon roll and ice cold milk, stat. So. I started watching for the signs before exits that list which fast-food-type places they have off of that exit...but I couldn't find anything that I thought could help me with my situation. Finally, we reached (what I thought was) the last exit before a long stretch of road. I got off of the freeway and....turned left. I didn't see any shopping malls or food stops, but we went left anyway. We started driving through the most beautiful neighborhood (Fontana, CA, if you were wondering). We passed a vineyard and I decided to turn left again. We were slowly creeping through the streets when we came upon the most beautiful houses we had EVER seen. I told Jess that I thought it would be fun to explore the neighborhoods someday...then she MADE ME turn left into the neighborhood! :) We probably looked like idiots...but we stopped in front of every house and made comments about everything we loved (they were GORGEOUS homes). I want to live there someday. So pretty! Anyway. We exited the gorgeous-home neighborhood and...yep, you guessed it, turned left. Finally, we came to a beautifully lined (palm trees, amazing flowers, etc) drive ("Victoria St"), so...I turned left. We ended up in a shopping district (kind of like an EXTREMELY ritzy version of GVRanch's District) and...I SWEAR angels were singing from the heavens as we glanced down at the end of this gorgeously lined drive only to see a little shop called "The Corner Bakery." We parked, went in and enjoyed THE MOST DELICIOUS cinnamon roll/milk I've ever had in my entire life. I'm going to go back as often as I can. It was amazing. After we devoured the treat, we got back onto the freeway and...crawled at 5mph for the next 1.5 hours (I'd like to think my craving was a sign from God --it was Sunday!--that we needed to get off of the freeway in order to avoid being a part of the crash that took place/caused the delay...but Jess just thinks I'm a fat kid that needs a cinnamon roll when she needs a cinnamon roll. Whatever).

Matty can cook!
It's cute.

Spence tried on some skinny jeans and...
is freakin' skinny.

This recession has hit EVERYONE.
Even the Easter Bunny has had to pick
up a second job :\

Bill went to Utah last weekend for a "mission reunion," and
finally taught Grandma Davis how to tie a tie! :)

Paul is in "Tri-season" and I've finally decided...
THAT. I. NEVER. WANT. TO. HEAR/TALK. ABOUT.
TRIATHLONS. EVER. EVER. EVER. EVER. AGAIN.
I'll barf just thinking about it.

MATTY IS 13
and here's kinda how the day went....
we went to cafe rio (cinco de mateo, after all) and neilsen's.
Afterwards, he wanted to go to Best Buy..?
Then...

we sat around and watched a basketball game
...then matt had a game of his own at 5
(that didn't end up happening so...)

We gathered and ate his birthday dinner
(spy dad)

Matt is in the fun stage where he doesn't want to smile normally
for pictures. SUPER fun.

Exactly.

We were all finishing up eating, chatting and what not when I looked
over at Matt's gifts and saw him...just sitting....waiting patiently...

or not.

apparently we take long.

Finalllllly!

I got him a video game but put it in a phone box
and he was SO confused...but finally understood
that there was more to the gift
(resulting smile)

After that, mom went and got his "scooter" (an Abercrombie shirt and Nike elite socks), which to any other kid would be a great "scooter," right?

No. Matt is a brat.

All he really wanted for this birthday was XBOX Live. We told him he wasn't going to get it, he offered to pay for it and everything...but we told him no. When he had received his "scooter," and Spence and Celeste left the room (to finish watching a soccer game) and Matt realized his birthday was actually over and he hadn't received his XBOX Live, he got SO SAD!! (he'll deny it but check out the above expression. That says it all!) Finally, mom felt like the kid was going to break down in tears so she left and got his REAL "scooter," and here's what happened....

is it...?

it is!!?

YESSSS!

Tears of joy.
It was cute
(pathetic? spoiled? lame? sure.
but cute.)

And we got a real smile! :)

The singing facial-expression sequence:
I see that smiiiile...

Iiii seee that smiiiiiiillle.....

IIiiiii seeeeee that smiiiiiiiiiiiiiileee........

:)

there it is!

OPE! Hide it.
Too bad, brat. Caught it!

Make a wish!

Okay. I think that just about covers everything. I've got one more night of clinic (teaching) and then I'M DONE FOR THE SEMESTER!!!  :D :D :D (until summer semester!) I leave for my cruise in...exactly 20 days and then Hawaii a month after that!!! I LOVE SUMMER!!!

xoxo.
