Whilst Clayt was on a mission, Jess and I thought it would be a brilliant idea to gather all of the emails and pics he'd sent and scrapbook-ishly put them all in chronological order.
We were young.
Naive.
Dumb.
...soooo dumb.
Never, ever ever ever, EVER, did we consider a few logistics of the situation (ie. how much time this would take, the fact that we had four potential brother-missionaries to do this for, etc). We, naturally, just dove right in (i love myself and i hate myself).
Clayt's book seemed fairly easy. He didn't send too many pics, but his emails were long and pretty detailed, so his book wasn't too hard to assemble.
Bill's, however, has been a beast. The kid has sent one bazillion (look it up) pics, many of which do not have a date, and we (jess and I), are wicked procrastinators. Therefore, a few weeks ago, we found ourselves...up a creek.
case in point.
We had collected quite a bit of the crap (if anyone scrapbooks, I mean no offense, ...but seriously, admit it. It's all crap. expensive, unnecessary, wasteful, ridiculous, c.r.a.p.) over the course of (nearly) two years, so we devoted one entire friday to the dang thing, and knocked out quite a bit of it...
we even got the kid to help

anyway. yeah, we are done scrapbooking all of the pics (except for what he's got out there...and :( what he's yet to take), but we still have to scrapbook the emails (shouldn't be too bad. he's...brief.). if ANYONE wants to participate (/do it for me), let me know! I will watch your kid, clean your house, bake whatever, make whatever, just...whatever. But please, don't make me do this anymore!!!!!!!

You are a good sister. Clayt loves his, and its a brilliant idea. I would probably burn the whole thing up before I finished, so good on ya.
ReplyDeleteYou and Jess are saints. I know what a PAIN IN THE ARSE this has been. Just take comfort in knowing Spence and Matt have pledged not to go on missions, so this is your last one!!! :)
