17 again...

Jess turned 17. I feel like (and often say) she's Becca 2.0 (except much prettier). We went to Disneyland on her actual birthday (which makes for the most magical of all birthday experiences. seriously!), came home the next day and had our little family party for her.

Here are the photos to prove she's old:

17 yrs old = disney princess party
Totally age appropriate.

The cute pumpkin breadbowls my mom got from Panera :)

Pics from her actual birthday:

This is the first photo op I had of her at 17.
Naturally, she's dog-piling on the baby kids while they are actually in a peaceful state...
Such a trouble-maker...

Happy birthday five-eyes!

Never grow up

I'm so okay with getting older...but I'm not okay with THEM getting older...

Stay. Little. :(

Halloween at work

Dr. Hogan LOVES Halloween and, apparently, every year she has a costume contest she competes in with the Ortho office we refer to (Dr. Chenin) which meant we all HAD to dress up...

Now if you know me, you know that I'm not big on Halloween but myself along with the rest of the girls were good sports!

Here's what we all looked like:

Danielle = the Devil
(in more ways than I could ever explain...kidding! :P)

Tatiana = a sped/bride/cowgirl
(though initially, she was just the last bit)

Pirate me
(I still love my parrot)

Alene = Strawberry Shortcake

Kayla rocked her Velma attire!

Dr. Hogan was Judge Judy
(awesome, no?!)

I didn't get a single shot of LeAnna, but she was a bride (technically, a "mormon" bride...lol)

All of us! :)

We had a potluck and got to sit around for an extra hour at lunch and chat so...all in all, it really wasn't a bad day!

Now that's just RIDICULOUS

Okay, I've finally rid myself of Facebook (for several reasons, but mostly because I hate it)...but whilst perusing the movie section in Target, I came across this:

What's that, you ask?

Gift-card "Facebook Credits!"

I had no idea what this meant until Jess explained to me that when you play facebook games, you need to have these credits to do things...

The only thing I can say, without being to blatantly obvious about how I feel about the ENTIRE situation is WOW!

BE. SERIOUS.

...Whatever. To each their own.

A good time...

You may think you're familiar with the following item...but then again, maybe not:

This, my friends, is a tired-Jess and well-past-EXHAUSTED-Beck's Saturday night "good time"!

We casually walked by, tried one of the selections...and 20 minutes later realized we had unknowingly dance-partied our way through every sample-selection button...

A big "You're WELCOME" to whomever got to view that on the security camera.

Disney Dizzy

So, I went to Disneyland almost every single weekend in October. Yes I love it...but... holy crap. That was a LOT of Disneyland.

Here's what I brought back to share:

The castle has begun its "winter" transformation! :D

Cute character pumpkins over the entrance gates...

For those of you not-so-familiar with the park, around October, Disneyland decorates one of the attractions (the Haunted Mansion) as Tim Burton's "Nightmare Before Christmas." I've never seen the movie (seriously), but the decorations are kind of cute...

Also in October (around Halloween time) the Disney Villains get 15 more minutes of fame, especially these ones:

Snow White's evil step-mother

Captian Hook

Jafar

For our "Party of Five" trip to Disney (to celebrate Jess' birthday, ON her birthday), Celeste thought we should all be in matching shirts. I was fine with the idea, but...naturally, she had to put her "difficult" twist on the concept, deciding rather than exact matching shirts...a theme would be "cuter":
Can you figure out who we all are?
(not exactly brain surgery, but still...)

:) Spence is tall-ish, Matty is small-ish.
Jess falls somewhere in between.

Spence: Where should I stand?
Green Army Guy: Well you're standing there and it's working out okay for ya' so...why don't you keep standing there.

lol

Tower of Terror!
(please take note of Jess and my perfect form and Celeste and Matty's happy yet apprehensive expressions...ha!)

Jess even got to drive the jeep on Indiana Jones!

Happily Ever After

Such a cute pic. Celeste captured this while on her way to the Matterhorn and I love love love it!

Recap: Lots of Disney = Lots of fun, BUT...when you average 23 miles per "Disney-day" (seriously. 2 different pedometers, 3 different times), it can also be exhausting, which is where I'm at right now! I think I need some space from the happiest place on earth... just for a while...

10-10-10

LeAnna got married! The wedding took place at this amazing site up in Red Rock...

It was SUCH a beautiful day!

(the pictures are in a weird order, sorry)

The bride! :)

Groomsman

Bridesmaid (/maid of honor, older sister Paula)

Cute!

Groom (Jared) waiting for the wedding party to walk down the aisle...

They chose Nothing Bunt Cakes for their wedding cake(s), which turned out to be not only very tasty, but really really cute!

"Presenting to you for the first time....
Mr. and Mrs. Whitefield!"

"You may now kiss the bride..."

Such a great day, I know it's nice to have it done, but I'm so glad she decided to do a wedding :')
